One out of every five people on earth lives in East Asia. While the nation itself is huge, so is the opportunity for the gospel. The people of East Asia are becoming more and more receptive to the gospel in the face of persecution and opposition. Many profess atheism, but most people practice a form of Buddhism, Confucianism, ancestor worship, Taoism and other systems.
LifePoint will begin identifying mission partners in 2010 and discern where to plant in East Asia. Over the next 18 months, we will begin to establish the team leaders and team members.
The Sending Church Campaign will aid the East Asia team by funding ministry resources, ministry centers and missionaries on the team.
