Sending Church Prayer Wall
Belgium

Christianity came to us from Europe, so some may ask, Why does Europe need missionaries? Europe today is very different from decades ago. Churches have been closing their doors for years and are being replaced by shops, bars, hotels and museums. The Protestant Reformation never took hold in countries dominated by Roman Catholicism. Belgium is one of those Catholic countries where less than one percent of the population claims to know Jesus Christ as their only Savior. In Belgium today, grandparents may attend mass from time to time, parents are Catholic in name but never go to mass and new generations do not claim any religious affiliation.

LifePoint Church is sensing a specific calling from the Lord to be part of His plan for Europe. One of our senior staff members has responded to God’s call to move his family to Belgium to begin this new work. Several families from LifePoint have also sensed God’s leading to join the LifePoint Belgium team. Belgium is one of the most strategic nations in Western Europe with immigrants from all over the world and is the home for influential institutions such as the European Union and NATO. Because Belgium is a crossroads for the world, we believe that if the gospel takes hold there, it will spread to many nations.
